Testimony of Marisol Ramírez Solarte – Global Exchange Medellín 2025
There are experiences that change your life. For Marisol Ramírez Solarte, taking part in the Global Exchange Medellín 2025 was one of them. She joined as part of the support team and left transformed.
With just a year and a half in the LeaderImpact movement, Marisol, a 37-year-old creative director, never imagined this event would confront her fears, her faith, and her purpose. It all began with a challenge: to be the interpreter for Pastor Aldemar Solarte, encouraged by Roy Hildebrand, Director of Global Exchange Canada. Marisol hadn’t practiced English in years, and the idea alone was paralyzing. But that was just the beginning.
She also faced a more basic challenge: she didn’t have the resources to cover transportation or participation costs. And yet, in her own words, “as if by a miracle, everything just fell into place.” It wasn’t magic. It was purpose.
💬 “Janeth, my leader, reminded me what I was capable of. She invited me to let go of fear—and trust.”
🌟 A healing kind of leadership
One of the most memorable moments came when she was assigned to interpret for Lusatille Dos Santos. Despite the fear of failing—due to the technical nature of the topic and the language—she succeeded. Not only did she understand—she felt that God was with her, giving her clarity and the right words. She even grasped idiomatic expressions she had never heard before. It was a moment of divine confidence and revelation.
But the most inspiring challenge came later when she joined Lois at a conference originally intended for business leaders. The audience, however, turned out to be a group of women—mothers, grandmothers, homemakers. Marisol witnessed how Lois transformed her entire message with humility, empathy, and wisdom, connecting with every heart in the room with authenticity. It was communication from the soul.
She also met leaders like Akunna Nwagha and Diana Palacio, which reaffirmed a profound truth: when we follow God with passion, no nationality or border divides us—we are family.
💔 Before the Global Exchange…
Marisol had just come out of a dark season. Sadness, anxiety about the future, and lack of motivation had been part of her daily life. But in Medellín, she rediscovered hope, purpose, joy, and direction.
Since then, her leadership has grown from a different root: purpose-driven service. She now creates spaces for listening, encourages others with uplifting words, and values small acts of genuine connection—a smile, an empathetic glance, a silent presence.
✨ Today…
Today, Marisol feels sustained by the love of God. She no longer wakes up with fear, but with gratitude. She no longer serves to fill a void, but to reflect fullness. She has come to understand that to lead is also to heal, and that speaking from the heart can change a life.
“Global Exchange was my turning point. I learned to believe in myself again, in the power of service, and that God truly guides every step… when we learn to let go and trust.”
